Featured Build: 2006 Mustang GT Sound Deadening
Christian's 2006 Mustang gt
When you have all this horse power, sometimes you've got to tame down the noise level so the ladies can enjoy the ride too. Christian skinned this Mustang with a full layer of Damplifier throughout the trunk and transmission tunnel using about 40 sqft. He then used 20 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro on the trunk floor above the exhaust and 10 sqft above the transmission tunnel. This treatment method reduced the cabin noise levels about 8 dB and completely blocked out the exhaust drone Christian was experiencing. Damplifier Pro + Luxury Liner Pro in the trunk is the easiest way to cut down on exhaust and rear tire noise without treating the entire floor.
This awesome 2006 Mustang GT makes that Second Skin box look real good.
Ripping this bad boy out from top to bottom, before washing the metal with denatured alcohol.
After skinning the Mustang trunk, Damplifier goes on nice and smooth.
That is one sexy looking ghosted logo...Christian did some great work on this 20 sqft box of Damplifier.
Don't forget to do the trunk lid, those things can be really loud. For regular daily drivers like this 25-40% coverage is good. If you have a trunk full of alligators (lol) dropping 140+dB with your BASS, you'll want to bump that coverage up to 80-100% depending on sound pressure levels.
After the trunk, we move up the to the floor and complete the transmission tunnel to stop heat transfer and structure borne noise.
Left rear of the trunk gets the barrier layer Luxury Liner Pro added to block out the tire noise and exhaust drone.
Right rear trunk gets the MLV barrier layer.
When applying barrier and thermal layers make sure to make cuts around wires, bolt holes, etc as small as possible. Avoid creating large gaps in these types of layers for maximum effectiveness.
Make sure to butt pieces of Luxury Liner Pro together as close as possible to avoid sound and heat from making their way through.

2022 BRONCO RAPTOR
Check out this awesome Bronco project from some of the best installers in the business Sound Evolution of Texas. Inside the Bronco the crew has skinned this beast with 90 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the floor, doors, and cargo area. They applied about 54 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro in the cargo area, cabin firewall, and floor. They finished up the outer door skins with 28 sqft of Damplifier Pro and Mega Zorbe. When this tough Bronco is mudding through the trails, all you can hear inside is the sound of the awesoem system they installed as well.

Anthony used Second Skin products on his 2022 Ford E350 Van conversion to go from cargo to living life on the road!. He chose to use the Damplifier Pro for his project and used about 250 sqft of it on the floor, doors, side walls, and ceiling. He then applied 2000 sqft of Heat Wave Pro to the walls and ceiling along with 90 sqft of Luxury liner Pro for the floor.

1978 King cobra mustang II
This sweet looking 70's era Mustang is full of Second Skin. The customer used 80 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the doors, floor, roof, and trunk. He used 54 sqft of Luxury Liner with 54 sqft of OverKill first on the floor and the trunk. Last, he used 28 sqft of OverKill Pro on the doors and the roof of this Mustang.

Always fun to start in the trunk, 20 sqft of Damplifier for the trunk floor and 5 sqft for the trunk lid.
Moving on into the cabin, that sexy looking black on black SS logo makes this Mustang look real good inside. About 10-12 sqft of Damplifier Pro used in the back seat area.
Driver and passenger seat area received about 15 - 18 sqft of Damplifier Pro to kill the vibration and stop the heat transfer through the transmission hump.
This customer chose to use the 1/8" OverKill as his decoupler between the Damplifier Pro foil and the Luxury Liner vinyl.

Arizona customer Dante81_98 utilized the 25-40% checkerboard method perfectly with this F250 build. A typical F250 cabin uses around 80-100 sqft of vibration control product. With the 25-40% method, you can scale back and use less vibration control product for average vehicles (no huge engine/exhaust upgrades or loud bass). For this build Dante used 36 sqft of Damplifier Pro spread out in a checkerboard fashion across the floor, doors, ceiling, and back wall. He then covered up the floor with closed cell foam and mass loaded vinyl .

2020 F450 Limited Dually
What do you do when you get a brand new F450 Dually and you live in Colorado? That's right, you take it to the awesome guys at Colorado Car Audio to get it the absolute best upgrades possible. After installing 100 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the floor, doors, back wall they installed 45 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro on the floor, 24 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro in the doors, and 15 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro on the back wall. The roof got 24 sqft of Damplifier Pro and 32 sqft of Mega Zorbe melamine foam. And don't forget the Speaker Tweakers set of 4, one for each door. After skinning it with Second Skin, Moe and the gang installed treated with a full assortment of JL Audio speakers, amps, and cross overs. This has to be one the coolest 2020 F450's on the road!!! Justin brought his 2020 F450 Limited Dually to the guys at Colorado Car Audio to get the good treatment.
First up is the doors, skinned with the 40%-60% coverage method. About 6-7 sqft per door skin and panel.
Can't forget to drop those Speaker Tweakers in the doors with some super glue.
And last is the Luxury Liner Pro mass loaded vinyl to block out road and tire noise. Each door used about 6 sqft with all of the bars and mechanisms in the way.
Everything back together and looking good, nice use of the Damplifier Butyl Tape to adhere the vapor barrier back to the door (we always recommend to do that).
After the sound treatment, Colorado Car Audio upgraded this bad boy with all JL Audio speakers and amps.
And you already know, the guys at CCA finish those installs with a clean and sexy look!!!

The amazing crew at West Coast Customs was chosen to build Carlo Boutagy a customized Eleanor Mustang and they knocked it out oft he park. As West Coast Customs go to brand of sound and heat insulation, they called us up and we go them the goods they needed to make this one quiet and cool ride inside. 2014 econoline 4x4 van
The awesome guys at Colorado Car Audio back at it again with this sweet off road monster. Skinned with 140 sqft of Damplifier Pro (40-60% checker board spread out method) along with 54 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro (Doors/Side Door/Rear Doors). They also installed Kenwood Apple Car Play head unit, (6) Kenwood 6x8 speakers, 13" drop down rear monitor, dual rear cameras to go with the Second Skin products.

First step, tear down.
Installed 6 sqft of Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro to each the outer door skins.
Next up is the back cargo area to get rid of that tinny sound and echo. 40 sqft of Damplifier Pro was spread out in a checker board fashion using about 25 sqft on each wall and wheel well hump area.
For the floor of the van, they used about 35 sqft of Damplifier Pro spread out in a checker board fashion to cover about 60% of the metal.
The Econoline Van was finished up with a sweet new touch screen dash unit. Nice work guys.

2019 F250 Platinum edition Full Treatment
Team Second Skin Zach W and Jeffrey H with another amazing build with this awesome F250. Sydnee also helped on this project, she did all the amazing door panel work!!! This build used 80 sqft of Damplifier Pro, 63 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro, 24 sqft of Closed Cell Foam, and about 20 feet of Dual Lock Velcro. Zach's 2019 Ford F250 Platinum Edition ready for that Second Skin treatment.
Jeffrey laid down about 45 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the floor of this F250 with almost complete coverage. And the checker board method on the doors with about 5 sqft each.
After the Damplifier Pro comes the real work horse, Luxury Liner Pro MLV, to block out those annoying drones, road, engine, and airborne noise. The floor took 36 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro to cover the main areas and leave room for certain center counsel pieces to reattach properly.
The back wall of the F250 was treated with about 15 sqft of Damplifier Pro and 9 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro. Zach utilized the Dual Lock reclosable fasteners for the MLV.
Sydnee rocked these door panels with about 6 sqft of Damplifier Pro in each of the four doors. Zach applied a sheet of Luxury Liner Pro on each outer door skin to complete the door install.
