Thaddeus p Hummer h1

Thaddeus upgraded his Hummer H1 with some serious American made sound deadening and blocking materials to tame down that big ole diesel engine. He started with 72 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the dog house, floor, walls, doors, and cargo area. He followed that up with 54 sqft of Luxury Liner Mass Loaded Vinyl throughout the floor and cargo area to block out the drive train and exhaust noise. It took 9 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro to cover the dog house from the cabin side. And Thaddeus finished off the build with a gallon of Spectrum liquid sound deadening used in the wheel wells to cut down on the road noise.

The Hummer H1 completely covered with Damplifier Pro.

A nice layer of Damplifier Pro throughout the cargo area along with the use of Luxury Liner MLV to block out the exhaust and road noise.

Erik upgraded his Hummer with some other sound deadening and blocking materials to tame down that big ole diesel engine, but was left unsatisfied with the amount of tire and road noise that he still heard. Here is his story: "I spent thousands of dollars sound deadening the interior and reduced the decibels from 87-81 decibels on a ‘92 Hummer. After reading a suggestion on Second Skin’s website to start on the exterior and apply interior sound deadening last, I applied Second Skin Spectrum just to the front wheel wells to test it.
