Installation Instructions
Recommended Install Method: staples, screws (with washers), nails, or hung with reinforced grommets
- Roll out the MLV so the length of the material matches the barrier's height, less 1/8". Using a T-square, cut the mass loaded vinyl using a sharp utility knife.
- Fasten the MLV to the barrier using mechanical fastener of choice. Start attaching the MLV at the top of the barrier and work your way across ensuring the MLV stays straight.
- Drywall will not support the weight of MLV. Always attach to studs.
- Cut out space for any protrusions like outlets.
- As you work your way across the barrier, keep the ends of the MLV directly next to each other for an airtight barrier. Use acoustic caulk to seal any gaps.
