Second Skin's Luxury Liner™ foil faced mass loaded vinyl roll is the perfect way to combine a noise barrier and a radiant heat barrier. When adding mass to a barrier that needs to reflect heat away, the scrim-reinforced, aluminized foil facing makes this the perfect mass loaded vinyl!

No. While the flame spread rating is Class A, the smoke developed exceeds Class A requirements. For Class A fire rated MLV, the Luxury Liner E84 Class A Roll is available.

Same weight per square foot and just as flexible as standard 1 lb MLV, but with a reinforced scrim that gives it much higher tensile strength (608 psi vs. plain MLV) and a foil facing that adds heat reflectivity, useful for pipe and duct wrapping where some radiant heat protection is also wanted.

Wrapping noisy pipes (PVC), HVAC duct soundproofing, generator boxes and enclosures, mechanical rooms, and machinery enclosures. This works anywhere mass is needed to block sound and foil is needed to reflect radiant heat.

The black (vinyl) side faces the pipe; the foil faces outward.
