Looking for a sound blanket that actually works? Our Quiet Quilt Sound Blankets have tamed noise in factories, wrapped around pickleball courts, lined wedding venues, and calmed echoey warehouses. Built to block sound transfer and absorb reverb, these blankets are tough, effective, and can be bought in stock sizes or custom made to fit your exact space. Choose your type of blanket, size, and color — and let’s solve that noise problem for good.

Sound blankets are flexible panels used to control noise, either by blocking it (soundproof blankets) or absorbing it (acoustic blankets). Our Quiet Quilt Soundproof Blankets combine a heavy barrier layer with an absorptive vinyl facing to reduce sound transfer between spaces — perfect for enclosing loud machines, building temporary walls, or creating outdoor noise barriers. Quiet Quilt Acoustic Blankets are lighter - designed to reduce echo and reverb - and are typically used like an industrial acoustic panel or paired with an existing barrier such as brick, wood, or concrete to maximize noise reduction. All of our blankets are durable, customizable, and easy to install in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.

Yes! Quiet Quilt Soundproof Blankets are highly effective. The key is proper design — fully enclosing the noise source, eliminating gaps, and ensuring the barrier is tall enough to block the line of sight to the sound. While our blankets can be used in many ways, they are often used for industrial soundproofing around machinery or outdoor noise control around generators, HVAC units, construction sites, and sport courts. Built with mass loaded vinyl and an absorptive vinyl face, we've seen as much as a 15 decibel reduction for outdoor sound barriers and then even more than that for some of our full enclosures (indoor only).

If you need to reduce echo and reverb, go with an acoustic blanket. If you need to block sound from entering or leaving a space, choose a soundproof blanket.

Product Best Use
Quiet Quilt Indoor Acoustic Blanket Used as an acoustic wall panel or ceiling baffle in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial settings.
Quiet Quilt Outdoor Acoustic Blanket Paired with a solid barrier fence (concrete, brick, or wood) around outdoor HVAC equipment or other machinery.
Quiet Quilt Indoor Soundproof Blanket Moveable or permanent indoor soundproofing barriers around loud machinery; more cost-effective and flexible than permanent structures.
Quiet Quilt Outdoor Soundproof Blanket Permanent outdoor noise barrier around generators, HVAC units, drilling rigs, or sport courts. Custom options for temporary construction barriers.
Quiet Quilt 2-Sided Barrier Blanket Indoor soundproof divider partition, machinery enclosure, or removable wall liner.

Hanging Quiet Quilt blankets is simple — each blanket has built-in grommet holes so you can secure them to fencing, framing, ceilings, or any structure strong enough to support their weight. Most customers use zip ties or wire ties, but you can also attach them with a fender washer (larger than the grommet) and self-tapping screws. Common setups include chain link fences for outdoor use, steel frames for indoor barriers, and hanging hardware for echo control.

Sound blankets are more versatile than acoustic panels because they can be used for both soundproofing and echo reduction, depending on the design. They’re often the better choice for industrial or outdoor settings where durability, easy maintenance, and cleaning are important.

Aside from both being called “blankets,” moving blankets and soundproof blankets have little in common. Moving blankets aren’t designed for noise control.
