EcoVerb™ Roll - Acoustic Insulation Roll

EcoVerb Roll absorbs more as thickness increases. Wall mounted and tested to ASTM C423, a 1/2" roll rates NRC 0.40, a 1" roll NRC 0.75, and a 2" roll NRC 1.15.

Choose 2" EcoVerb Roll for the most absorption (NRC 1.15) and the best value when covering a large ceiling or architectural feature. The 1" roll (NRC 0.75) and the 1/2" roll (NRC 0.40) are best for tight spaces and cost savings.

Yes, EcoVerb Roll is Class A fire rated under ASTM E84 with a flame spread under 25 and a smoke developed under 50, and the black facing is treated with a flame retardant.

EcoVerb Roll is made for treating large spaces such as gyms, warehouses, bars, nightclubs, and gun ranges, and it works well in van conversions. It is also an excellent backer behind perforated metal panels, and it is used as an acoustic duct liner too.

The amount of EcoVerb Roll depends on your application, room size, and how much echo you want to reduce. Use our acoustic calculator to estimate how much you need, or call us at 1-800-679-8511 and one of our soundproofing experts will help you plan it.

EcoVerb Roll comes in 4' x 25' (100 sq ft) rolls as standard, and we offer 4' x 10' (40 sq ft) rolls for smaller jobs. Thickness options are 1/2", 1", and 2".

You can install EcoVerb Roll with X60 spray adhesive or with stick pins. For adhesive, apply the spray adhesive to both the cotton side and the surface, let it tack for 2 to 4 minutes, then press the roll firmly into place. For stick pins, push the roll onto pins fixed to the ceiling and secure each with a self-locking washer. See our spray adhesive install guide for the full steps.

You need three things to install EcoVerb Roll with stick pins: stick pins pushed through the roll, self-locking washers that hold the material, and construction adhesive or screws to fix the pin base to the ceiling. Dome caps are optional for a more aesthetic finish.

When installing EcoVerb Roll, the black fabric faces outward and the cotton fiber side faces the substrate or surface.

Don't panic. Wrinkles in the black fabric facing don't hurt EcoVerb Roll. To smooth them out, try steaming or ironing the fabric.

Our preferred way to cut EcoVerb Roll is with an electric fabric cutter, which is how we cut it in house. You can also use a utility knife (swap the blade every few cuts), an Insul-Knife (sharpen it every few cuts), or fabric shears.

No, EcoVerb Roll will not sag when it is installed as long as it is pulled tight during installation. With proper coverage of X60 Spray Adhesive for the spray adhesive method or enough stick pins for the stick pin method, the material will be taut.
