CelluZorbe is rated NRC 0.80 at 1" and NRC 1.00 at 2" when wall mounted.

Choose 2" CelluZorbe when you need more absorption, particularly at lower frequencies. 2" CelluZorbe has an NRC of 1.00 compared to an NRC of 0.80 for 1". The 1" panel works best for echo and reverb control in tighter spaces.

CelluZorbe is a low-cost acoustic and thermal panel made of over 90% recycled content. It is Class A fire rated, mold resistant, free of formaldehyde, and it doesn't itch the way fiberglass does.

CelluZorbe absorbs sound and does not block it. That said, CelluZorbe is commonly used inside wall cavities as an insulation or in confined spaces like HVAC closets and behind refrigerators. By reducing the echo inside the space, it reduces the sound that can escape. CelluZorbe is made of over 90% recycled cellulose, recycled cotton, and PET fibers. The fibers are held together with a binder and treated with fire retardants. It contains no formaldehyde, and its recycled content contributes toward LEED credits.

CelluZorbe is a flexible 1" or 2" acoustic panel for absorbing echo and reverb. CelluZorbe HD is a rigid 1/2" board that blocks sound (STC 15) and absorbs sound (NRC 0.50).

There are a few ways you can cut CelluZorbe. Our preferred method is with an electric fabric cutter for the cleanest cuts. Alternatively, you can use a sharp utility knife, an Insul-Knife, or a table saw with a toothless blade. The fibers dull any of these quickly, so plan on resharpening often.

Remove dust and dirt from CelluZorbe with a vacuum and a soft brush attachment, using attachments with soft bristles at least 1" long to avoid damaging the panel. You can also brush the panels with a soft-bristle brush, blow them off gently with compressed air, or wipe them with a dry sponge or a damp white cloth. For heavy soiling or stains, use Resolve® or Spot Shot® carpet cleaner as directed, testing first on a small or hidden spot and letting it dry completely to check for discoloration.
