EcoVerb™ Cotton Fiber Acoustic Panels

EcoVerb is made from cotton fibers, making it extremely absorptive. It was tested to ASTM C423 and yielded excellent results. Check it out:

Choose 2" EcoVerb for maximum absorption and low-frequency performance. It has an NRC of 1.15 compared to the 1" panel's NRC of 0.80. Still, the 1" panel is an excellent absorber in its own right. For very deep bass, 4" material works best, which is what our EcoBass Trap is.

Our standard EcoVerb comes in 24" x 48" with some customization options. You can choose from any of our standard colors: Marble Blue, Light Grey, Graphite, Beige, White, or Black. Each comes in 1" or 2" thickness. For custom runs of panels up to 48" x 96" and/or 6# density, please reach out to our sales team for more details.

Yes, EcoVerb is Class A fire rated under ASTM E84, with a flame spread of 5 and a smoke developed of 35.

The number of panels depends on your application, room size, and how much echo or noise you want to reduce. Use our acoustic calculator to estimate how many you need, or call us at 1-800-679-8511 and one of our soundproofing experts will help you plan a layout.

You can install EcoVerb with X60 spray adhesive alone, with construction adhesive plus spray adhesive, or with stick pins. X60 spray adhesive is our preferred adhesive for panels. See our spray adhesive install guide, construction adhesive install guide and stick pin install guide for step-by-step instructions.

If you install EcoVerb with X60 spray adhesive, each can covers 25 sq ft for a 2-sided application. If you are doing the construction adhesive + P329 spray adhesive method, a general rule is to divide your total panel square footage by 80 for the number of P329 spray adhesive cans, and by 40 for the number of construction adhesive tubes. For example, 400 sq ft of EcoVerb generally takes 10 tubes of construction adhesive and 5 cans of spray adhesive. Read our construction adhesive install guide for more detail.

You need three things to install EcoVerb with stick pins: stick pins pushed through the panel, self-locking washers that hold the panel without compressing it, and construction adhesive or screws to fix each pin base to the wall or ceiling. See our stick pin install guide for the full steps.

Our preferred way to cut EcoVerb in the field is with an electric fabric cutter, particularly when lots of cuts need to be done. You can also use a utility knife, an Insul-Knife, or a table saw with a toothless blade. The fibers dull blades quickly, so plan on frequent resharpening or blade changes.

To clean EcoVerb, vacuum with a soft brush attachment (bristles 1" or longer), or use a soft brush or gentle compressed air to lift dust. For a spot, blot with a dry sponge or a damp white cloth, using a mild cleaner such as Resolve or Spot Shot carpet cleaner, and test it on a hidden area first.

EcoVerb is a bonded acoustical cotton panel made from recycled and recyclable cotton fibers, mostly recycled t-shirts and jeans.

For a baffle, we have EcoVerb Baffles available with grommets pre-installed. If you wish to hang EcoVerb as an acoustic cloud, you'll need to adhere it to a solid backer that will keep it from sagging and can be suspended.
