EcoBass is built for low frequencies. A 4" EcoBass Trap has an absorption coefficient of 0.97 at 125 Hz, which is nearly full absorption of deep bass, and an overall NRC of 1.15, tested to ASTM C423.

EcoBass is the thickest, densest member of the EcoVerb family: the same recycled bonded acoustical cotton, built 4" thick for low-frequency control. EcoBass has an NRC of 0.97 at 125 Hz, compared to 0.35 for 2" EcoVerb. Both reach an overall NRC of 1.15, so choose EcoVerb for general wall and ceiling absorption and EcoBass when bass is the problem.

Place EcoBass where low-frequency sound builds up in your room. Corners are a common spot, and stacking two EcoBass Trap panels in a corner makes a full-length bass trap.

EcoBass comes in a standard 24" x 48" (8 sq ft) size, 4" thick, in Graphite. It is sold as a single trap or a 3-trap set.

Yes, EcoBass is Class A fire rated under ASTM E84, with a flame spread of 5 and a smoke developed of 35. It is also rated to 280°F.

You can adhere EcoBass to a wall or ceiling with construction adhesive plus spray adhesive, or friction-fit it inside a frame without adhesive. For the adhesive method, apply construction adhesive in an X pattern across the back with spray adhesive in each quadrant, let the spray adhesive set for 4 minutes, then press the panel into place. If you install EcoBass with construction adhesive and spray adhesive, a general rule is to divide your total panel square footage by 80 for the number of spray adhesive cans, and by 40 for the number of construction adhesive tubes. For example, 400 sq ft of EcoBass generally takes 10 tubes of construction adhesive and 5 cans of spray adhesive.

Yes, EcoBass can be cut onsite using an Insul-Knife or an electric fabric cutter, which requires flipping the panel to finish the cut. For large jobs, we can do a full custom run of EcoBass traps up to 48" x 96". Contact our team for details.

To clean EcoBass, vacuum with a soft brush attachment (bristles 1" or longer), or use a soft brush or gentle compressed air to lift dust. For a spot, blot with a dry sponge or a damp white cloth, using a mild cleaner such as Resolve or Spot Shot carpet cleaner, and test it on a hidden area first.

Creases in EcoBass go away over time as the material fluffs back out after handling.
