OverKillâ„¢ Closed Cell Foam - 1/8"
Closed cell foam is an excellent piece of the puzzle to achieve your vehicle sound insulation goals. OverKillâ„¢ is lightweight, flexible, rubber-infused closed cell foam. At 1/8" thick, it's designed to fit into tight spaces, and is a great car door insulation under plastic door panels. Closed cell foam sheets is not for absorbing noise, but OverKillâ„¢ really shines as a decoupler or gasket material. Use OverKillâ„¢ to prevent any two hard surfaces from hitting each other.
Features
- Decouple inside panels to create pressure, preventing rattles and squeaks

Installation Instructions
Installation Instructions
Recommended Installation: First, remove the plastic door panels and/or the upholstery on your vehicle (watch an in-depth guide on Overkillâ„¢ installation here).
- Cut OverKillâ„¢ with scissors into the size(s) and shape(s) of the install location (be cautious of wiring and electrical components of your vehicles).
- If getting the version of OverKillâ„¢ without a PSA, use our P329 Permanent Spray Adhesive (1 can per 3 sheets) or Super Strong Double Sided Tape.
- Install under rattling equipment to decouple from the floor.
- To stop rattling panels, cut OverKillâ„¢ to fit and squeeze it into the gap to create a cushion for the plastic panel.
- Wrap vibrating pipes to decouple from surrounding surfaces.
- OverKillâ„¢ should not be your primary noise blocker. It is an excellent decoupler and will absorb some low frequency sound waves, but closed cell foam does not have enough mass to effectively block sound and its closed cells mean it doesn't absorb sound well. Use it as a decoupler with our Luxury Linerâ„¢ MLV or under your vehicle's plastic paneling.
