Luxury Liner Pro works on the cabin side of the firewall, the floor, the trunk or cargo area, and the doors. On a truck, cover the back wall. Aim for as close to 100% coverage as you can. A continuous barrier blocks road, engine, exhaust, and tire noise best.

Yes, installing Luxury Liner Pro on doors improves mid-bass when you use it to seal the door cavity. Sealing the cavity creates a sub-enclosure-like effect. Installing it along the inside of the door cavity with 100% coverage reduces road noise.

Yes, for the best results, use Luxury Liner Pro with Damplifier Pro. Apply Luxury Liner Pro on top of a constraint layer damper like Damplifier Pro or a liquid deadener like Spectrum. The damper controls panel vibration while Luxury Liner Pro blocks the airborne noise. In a full build, you can expect about 10+ dB of noise reduction (50%+ perceived noise reduction).

To install Luxury Liner Pro, map out how much you need and what cuts you'll need to make first. Make the necessary cuts with a utility knife (cardboard templates often help the process along). For flat surfaces, you can simply lay it on the metal foam-side down, as it is heavy enough to stay in place. For vertical surfaces, clean the bare metal with denatured alcohol, and use P329 spray adhesive on both the foam side and the substrate. The grey foam side of Luxury Liner Pro goes down first, against the application surface. The black MLV side faces up and out.

Dual Lock is the best choice if you may need to remove the Luxury Liner Pro sheet later. We recommend the 250-pin / 400-pin combo. On a horizontal surface, use 2' of Dual Lock per 9 sq ft sheet (1' per side). On a vertical surface, use 4' per sheet (2' per side).

There are two ways to install Luxury Liner Pro in a car door. You can cover the outer door skin inside the cavity, or seal the open door cavity to turn it into a speaker enclosure. To cover the skin, use P329 spray adhesive to adhere it at 100% coverage. The grey foam faces the outer door skin and the black vinyl faces you. To seal the cavity, use Dual Lock, since it is the most removable fastener. The grey foam faces into the cavity. A cardboard cutting template helps with both. If you need to fit Luxury Liner Pro in a tighter spot, shave down the foam side with a utility knife. You can also cut it cleanly with a Dremel tool and a small circular sanding bit.

Yes, you can bond carpet or other layers on top of Luxury Liner Pro with HH-66 Vinyl Contact Cement. Most adhesives struggle to bond to vinyl, but HH-66 gets the job done.

Luxury Liner Pro is 1/8" thick, 1 lb mass loaded vinyl (MLV) sheet fused to a 1/4" closed cell foam decoupler for a combined thickness of 3/8".
