Step 2 - MLV Noise Barriers

After treating the vibrations and structure borne noise with a CLD sound deadener the next step is to block the airborne sound waves with a mass loaded noise barrier (MLV).

Applying one of our Mass loaded vinyl barriers on top of your Damplifier or Damplifier Pro CLD sound damping mats is the best way to reduce road noise, engine noise and exhaust drone.

Luxury Liner™

Luxury Liner is a Mass Loaded Vinyl - MLV - noise barrier that gets placed on top of your Damplifier or Damplifier Pro CLD Vibrtation Damper to block automotive road, engine and exhaust drone. It does not have a foam Liner.
For best results first apply a layer of our Overkill or Overkill Pro closed cell foam to decouple the Mass Loaded Vinyl Noise Barrier.

  • 1.25 lbs per sq foot (20% more than other MLV barriers)
  • Blocks airborne sound waves

Luxury Liner Pro is our Mass Loaded Vinyl barrier - MLV
Unlike regular Luxury Liner MLV, the Pro comes loaded to a closed cell foam decoupler to save time.
Apply Luxury Liner Pro on top of Damplifier or Damplifier Pro CLD sound deadener to block road noise, engine & exhaust noise,
