RSIC-WHI Ceiling Isolation Hanger
The RSIC WHI is a ceiling isolation hanger designed for soundproofing any wood, steel, or concrete flooring-ceiling assembly between the structure and the drywall grid ceiling or CRC and hat channel ceiling. With design loads of 30 lb, 50 lb, 70 lb, 100 lb, 145 lb, and 220 lb per isolator, any weight of ceiling system can be hung by either changing the acoustic ceiling hanger load rating or the spacing between the sound isolation hangers.

- RSIC WHI should be 48" x 48" oc maximum
- Fasten the RSIC WHI isolation hanger to hanger wire between the structure and the finish layer.
- Locate the first and last row of RSIC-WHI hangers within 8 inches from the wall.
- Minimum 12 ga annealed hanger wire should be tied through the wire loop on the RSIC-WHI hanger.
- When using tie wire attached to the RSIC-WHI clip to hang a drywall grid ceiling follow the installation instruction provided by the manufacturer of the grid ceiling system.
- At wall intersection (optional), add RSIC Perimeter tape behind wall angle or between gypsum board ceiling and wall intersection.
- Seal all potential air leaks with non-hardening acoustical sealant to achieve best noise control results. Use fire rated sealant where required.
