RSIC-1 ADM shoot-in multi clips are the cost-conscious, time-friendly alternative to spring isolators. These clips save on labor with an adjustable isolator to maximize performance with a minimum ceiling drop, and they can be shot into concrete for a speedy install. Installation Instructions
- Install RSIC-1 ADM Multi Clip into concrete decks or joists:
- For concrete, shoot into the concrete with a gas or powder actuated 3/4" pin minimum
- For wood or steel screw directly to your wood or metal frame with approved fastener with a maximum spacing of 48" on center
- Bend the RSIC-1 clip down until it parallel with the floor.
- Adjust the height of the RSIC-1 on the threaded rod/bolt to desired height.
- Lock RSIC-1 ADM into final elevation with jam/lock nut.
- Ensure the metal ferrule is tight to the washer, slightly compressing the rubber.
- Snap furring (hat) channels into each row of clips, maximum spacing 24" oc. Furring channel should be 0.0018" (18 mil) thick 25 gauge, hemmed edge detail.
- Install the layers of 5/8" gypsum board into the clips with 1/4" min. gap around the ceiling perimeter to be sealed with acoustical caulk.
