Quiet Quilt™ 2-Sided Barrier Blanket

The Quiet Quilt 2-Sided Barrier Blanket is an excellent barrier for interior spaces with noise on both sides. It blocks sound well because of the MLV, and it has an absorptive facing on both sides. It has an STC of 29 for blocking and NRC 0.75 for absorbing. Every situation is different, so call us at 1-800-679-8511 and one of our soundproofing experts can help you plan.

The 2-sided blanket has a mass loaded vinyl sandwiched between quilted, sound-absorbing faces on both sides. The Indoor Soundproof Blanket has a quilted face on one side and a smoother MLV face on the other. That makes it the right fit for a partition where both sides face a room. Choose the standard blanket when only one side shows, like a wall or enclosure with the quilted side toward the noise.

Yes, you can hang the blanket over a door opening. In our field testing, a blanket hung over an open door or window reduced noise by about 8-10 dB.

Yes, the 2-sided blanket works great as a room partition. It is quicker and easier to install than building a wall, and it reduces noise on both sides of the barrier. You can also take it with you for pop-ups.

The standard blanket is 48" x 96" x 2" (32 sq ft). Custom sizes up to 25' are available by quote. Request a quote for a custom size, or call us at 1-800-679-8511.

Yes, the Quiet Quilt 2-Sided Barrier Blanket is Class A fire rated.

The blanket comes with grommets already installed and Velcro for the seams. Hang it from the grommets on your support structure or door frame hardware. To join blankets, overlap the Velcro 2" onto the next blanket to seal the seam. The blanket does not include the support structure or mounting hardware.

Yes, you can do both in the field. A utility knife or heavy-duty scissors cuts the blanket. Reach out to us about our field binding kit to finish the cut edges. To add a grommet, punch the hole at least 1-1/2" from the edge. Set it with a rubber mallet on a firm, hard surface, and strike it hard enough to fully pinch the material and brass together.

The Quiet Quilt 2-Sided Barrier Blanket has a 1 lb mass loaded vinyl (MLV) core between two soft, vinyl-coated fiberglass quilts. Each quilted side is 1" thick.

You can clean the blanket by rinsing it with a hose. Diluted bleach also works as a cleaner. Avoid high-pressure hoses and power washers. Call us at 1-800-679-8511 with any other cleaning questions.

The blanket has a light vinyl scent that most won't notice. Request a sample before ordering.
