BlocknZorbe™ Acoustic Ceiling Clouds

BlocknZorbe Clouds are rated NRC 0.45 at 1" and NRC 0.70 at 2".

A BlocknZorbe Cloud hangs parallel with the ceiling from four corkscrew hangers, one at each corner, and is rated by NRC. A BlocknZorbe Baffle hangs on edge from two corkscrew hangers and is rated in sabins per baffle. Both are made from the same non-fibrous expanded polypropylene bead foam.

The number of clouds depends on your room size, ceiling height, and how much echo you want to reduce. Use our acoustic calculator to estimate how many you need, or call us at 1-800-679-8511 and one of our soundproofing experts will help you work out a layout.

BlocknZorbe Clouds come in 24" x 48", in 1" and 2" thicknesses, in white or charcoal.

Yes, BlocknZorbe Clouds carry a Class A fire rating under ASTM E84. Flame spread is 3 for the 1" cloud and 5 for the 2" cloud, and smoke developed is 84 for the 1" cloud and 113 for the 2" cloud.

Yes, BlocknZorbe Clouds work well in swimming pools and other humid spaces. They are water resistant, resist bacteria and fungi, and passed fungal growth testing with no growth.

BlocknZorbe Clouds are a great choice when you want an acoustic cloud that is fiber-free and fiberglass-free. They are also lightweight, water resistant, and impact resistant.

BlocknZorbe Clouds are made of the same semi-rigid, porous expanded polypropylene bead foam as our BlocknZorbe panels, with no fiberglass and no fibrous material.

Each BlocknZorbe Cloud comes with four corkscrew hangers, one for each corner. You supply light-duty cable or chain, cable clamps, and a level.

BlocknZorbe Clouds hang parallel with the ceiling on the corkscrew hangers that come with them. Screw in a corkscrew hanger 4" in from each corner with light downward pressure until only the eyelet shows. Then loop your suspension cable or chain through them. See our BlocknZorbe Cloud install guide for the full steps.

Yes, cut a cardboard template with holes marking the hanger locations, then reuse it on each cloud. The template keeps hanger placement consistent across several clouds and speeds up marking.
