BlocknZorbe™ Acoustic Baffles

A 1" BlocknZorbe Baffle absorbs an average of 3.55 sabins and a 2" baffle an average of 5.55 sabins, measured at 16" spacing. Baffles are rated in sabins per baffle rather than NRC because they hang from the ceiling and absorb from both faces.

The number of baffles depends on your room size, ceiling height, and how much echo you want to reduce. Use our acoustic calculator to estimate how many you need, or call us at 1-800-679-8511 and one of our soundproofing experts will help you work out a layout.

BlocknZorbe Baffles come in a standard 24" x 48" size, in 1" and 2" thicknesses, and in white or charcoal.

Each BlocknZorbe Baffle comes with two corkscrew hangers. You supply light-duty cable or chain, cable clamps, and a level. See our BlocknZorbe Baffle install guide for the full steps.

Yes, BlocknZorbe Baffles are Class A fire rated under ASTM E84. The 1" baffle tests at a flame spread of 3 and a smoke developed of 84, and the 2" baffle at a flame spread of 5 and a smoke developed of 113.

Yes, BlocknZorbe Baffles are an excellent choice for swimming pools and other humid spaces where other acoustic materials will not hold up. The baffles are water resistant, non-fibrous, durable, and pass industry standard tests for bacterial and fungal growth.

BlocknZorbe Baffles are a great choice when you want an acoustic baffle that is fiber-free and fiberglass-free. They are also lightweight, water resistant, and impact resistant.

BlocknZorbe Baffles are made of the same semi-rigid, porous expanded polypropylene bead foam as our BlocknZorbe panels.

BlocknZorbe Baffles hang from the ceiling on the corkscrew hangers that come with them. Screw in the corkscrew hangers with light downward pressure until only the eyelet shows. Then loop your suspension cable or chain through them. See our BlocknZorbe Baffle install guide for the full steps.

Yes, you can hang a BlocknZorbe Baffle in either portrait or landscape orientation. Choose which edge to mount the corkscrew hangers on based on the orientation you want.

If a corkscrew hanger goes in crooked or comes out the side of the baffle, don't reuse that hole. Start a fresh hole instead, and make sure it matches the opposite mounting point symmetrically.
