RSIC-1® Retro Resilient Sound Isolation Clips
Don't feel like removing the drywall to soundproof your existing wall or ceiling? No problem, because the RSIC-1® Retro Clips are designed to use with an existing wall or ceiling assembly. The small rubber protrusions on the RSIC-1® Retro clips isolate the drywall to stop sound transfer between rooms - significantly reducing both impact noise and airborne noise! Installation Instructions
- With the washer facing the drywall on top of the rubber isolator, screw each clip in through the drywall, directly into your wood or metal frame with a maximum spacing of 48" on center
- Attach 25 gauge furring (hat) channels to each row of clips
- Screw 1 or 2 layers of 5/8" gypsum board into the clips
