You can hang the blanket over a door or window opening. It hangs from its pre-installed grommets on a support structure you provide. In our field testing, a blanket hung over an open door or window reduced noise by about 6-8 dB. We always recommend extending the blanket beyond the jamb on all sides. We do not recommend the acoustic blankets for soundproofing a wall.

The blanket comes with grommets already installed. Hang it from the grommets on your support structure, and hang a run of blankets edge to edge.

Yes, you can do both in the field. A utility knife or heavy-duty scissors cuts the blanket. Reach out to us about our field binding kit to finish the cut edges. To add a grommet, punch the hole at least 1-1/2" from the edge. Set it with a rubber mallet on a firm, hard surface, and strike it hard enough to fully pinch the material and brass together.

The standard stock blanket comes in Grey. You can also order Tan, Black, and White, with a minimum order quantity of 3 and a 6-8 week lead time. A 12-color premium design range is also available.
