2019 Mercedes Sprinter Van Sound Deadening

Sam's 2019 Sprinter Van

This clean 2019 Sprinter Van build by Sam started as a blank slate before getting the full treatment with Spectrum sound deadening. He laid down three coats—using (4) 5 gallon buckets—to cover the floor, walls, and ceiling to create a solid layer across all the metal to kill off vibrations and help block heat from sneaking in. Up top, Sam went with Heat Wave Pro for the roof—super lightweight with great thermal performance—and stuck it down with high-temp spray adhesive. Took (5) sheets to get it done, and now the van's way quieter and way more comfortable for the road. Sam's 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Van was bare bones before his project began. This Sprinter Van took (4) 5 Gallons of Spectrum to cover the floor, walls and ceiling with (3) 1 mm coats. A nice complete viscoelastic membrane across the entire van metal is key to cutting down on vibration noise and stopping heat transfer through the flimsy metal walls. Sam chose the lightweight and high R Value Heat Wave Pro to thermally insulate his roof and also absorbing airborne sound. Sam's 2019 Sprinter Van took (5) 24 Sq Ft sheets of Heat Wave Pro and (3) cans of high temperature spray adhesive.

Mbvan's 2017 Mercedes Sprinter Van 4x4

This nice 4 x 4 edition Sprinter Van got some serious coverage. This build utilized the 40%-60% method with Damplifier Pro all across the van walls, floor, and ceiling with 120 sqft of Damplifier Pro cut into smaller sizes and spread out all along the areas. A few sheets used in the cabin ceiling and walls, spread out to use the 40%-60% method. When using the 40-60% method it is still important to hit up the high noise producing areas like the wheel well humps with 100% coverage. Side Walls of the Sprinter Van with the 60% coverage. Focus on the large flexible metal when using this method. Side walls under the windows with Damplifier Pro. Sliding Door Damplifier Pro. MBVAN used the Heat Wave Pro thermal insulation jute material as the second layer for the entire ceiling area. Attaching the lightweight Heat Wave Pro directly to the headliner molds. Colorado Car Audio's 2019 Dodge Pro Master 3500 Van Build

This 2019 Dodge Pro Master 3500 was our biggest sound dampening job with a sound system combined to date! We threw down 192 sheets of Damplifier Pro (about 320 sqft) on the floor, doors, walls, and roof with 2 layers of Spectrum (10 gallons) liquid sound deadener on top of that for the sandwich affect. We filled the doors and walls with 18 sheets of Luxury Liner Pro (about 162 sqft) We finished the roof off with 10 sheets of Mega Zorbe Hydrophobic Melamine Foam (about 80 sq ft) to absorb the road noise and thermally insulate the van. This van is HUGE (about 320 square feet of area covered). After turning this van into a vault, we added a killer sound system with JL Audio sound system. The customer was very pleased with the way his Man Van turned out with the interior conversion. Follow Colorado Car Audio on Instagram to keep up with their awesome builds! Colorado Car Audio
