Federico's Land Cruiser Bj40

Federico applied Spectrum on the interior of a Land Cruiser BJ40. He initially purchased four gallons, and ended up buying two more. He says the Second Skin Team has been of great support for the project and recommendation on the product and application. "I have used the online chat various times with immediate response!" says Federico. His Land Cruiser is red and so he did not like the black color of the Spectrum. He ended up waiting two weeks and applied Tentacle Liner to cover the Spectrum and color it red. The gun from Second Skin was perfect for the job and being water based, he said it was easy to clean and very low odor when applying. Also, due to the thickness of the material, the overspray is minimal and easily controllable, making it much easier and faster to mask than a paint job (or liner application). Federico says, "when this sweet ride isn't burning rubber you can hear her scream some Slipknot from the Kenwood Excelon head unit with (4) Memphis 6x9's and (2) Memphis 6.5's powered by a Kenwood Excelon amplifier." #SecondSkinForTheWin

Don's Toyota Tundra Door Speaker Upgrade

Don was ready for some good sounding music in his Tundra, so he reached out to Second Skin to get that American made butyl inside of his doors. Don lined the doors with 36 sqft of Damplifier Pro doing both the outer skin and inner skin of the Tundra. Skinning the outer door skin stops vibration and gives the sound waves a stronger surface to reflect off. When upgrading your rides sound system, Second Skin Damplifier Pro is very important to do first.

Rod's Toyota Tundra

Rod used the Damplifier Pro 10 sqft Damplifier box to insulate the back wall of his Toyota Tundra, one nice layer of American made butyl to kill the vibration and stop heat transfer.

2018 Toyota Chr

These types of wheel well installs come in from our Second Skin Singapore distributor. Applying mass loaded vinyl in the wheel wells is very effective, but you must use extremely strong industrial adhesives. None of our adhesive accessories will hold mass loaded vinyl upside down. We also recommend using a second "holder" such as bolts, screws, or straps when applying mass loaded vinyl in areas where it is upside down and may be abused by dirt, water, and grease. This can be very effective at quieting down road noise, when thought out and applied safe and strong.

Nolanspawn's Toyota Tundra

This Tundra got the full treatment of Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro. It took 54 sqft of Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro to cover the entire floor and back wall of this Tundra. The customer let us know that he was able to drop the road noise down from 89 dB inside of the cab at 75 mph down to 64 dB at the same highway speeds. That was with full coverage of both products and very few gaps in the mass loaded vinyl layer.

1986 Land Cruiser

This sweet looking Land Cruiser was brought into Colorado Car Audio for the full soundproofing package. 120 sqft of Damplifier Pro from top to bottom, 54 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro on the floor, and 70 sqft of Mega Zorbe on the roof, doors, and back hatch. This is one quiet Land Cruiser, the owner was very happy!

Anthony's 2010 Yaris Sedan

Anthony's Toyota Yaris Sedan used 54 sqft the Luxury Liner mass loaded vinyl on top of the factory jute foam for the full floor in the cabin area. Anthony said he achieved about a 9 dB drop at 65 mph, now he can talk on the phone!!!

Master Will's 1999 4runner Sr5 "rolling Thunder"

Super cool dude, awesome husband, hard working father, big loving PAPA, motivator, and BASS community ambassador... Will brings unending positive vibes to every aspect of his life. His biggest build, "Rolling Thunder", including unique sub woofer ports and pole dancing figurines, is always a show stopper. You'll find Will slamming that Garth Brooks BASS at events across the country. From helping his team mates to helping total strangers, Will has a heart of gold. We've enjoyed having him be a part of Team Second Skin for many years. On top of his full time job and being a full time dad, Will runs a small install shop in his community of Metter, GA. He also finds the time to attend BASS meets and car shows through the southeast, consistently bring home the hardware! Over the past 9 years, he has brought home both State and World Championships along with 358 other awards and trophies. Master Will is the Team SKAR Audio Captain, Team No Wall Founder, and long time Team Second Skin member.
