Fishyboy had some horrible tire and road noise coming up through his wheel wells. He used Luxury Liner Pro mass loaded vinyl to block out the unwanted airborne noise caused by the tires and road. When using MLV in an application such as this, you MUST use screws/bolts with washers and industrial strength adhesive. Our spray adhesive (and no other regular spray adhesive) will keep the MLV held on for life if you're going somewhere that gets the level of abuse you see in a wheel well. As you can see from the picture, Fishyboy used some sort of industrial strength black silicon adhesive and bolts/screws with washers. Pop rivets work as well.
Start with 2-3 coats of Spectrum to deaden the vibrations (recommend 2-3mm total thickness). Apply the gray spongy side of Luxury Liner Pro against the top of the Spectrum and face the black vinyl side out. Using this strategy is killer for stopping road/tire noise before it enters the vehicle, but the materials must be adhered properly to last.
