Stevie S has been a long time Second Skin customer. He's also won a few giveaways over the years on the SMD Forum! His 2002 Kia build showcases about 25 sq ft of our old silver Damplifier Pro sheets in the trunk, around 40 sq ft of our black Damplifier Pro on the floor (plus Luxury Liner Pro MLV). Lastly, about 24 sq ft of Damplifier Pro in the doors. The latest project was 8 sq ft of Mega Block heat shield on his hood!! 2002 Kia Spectra ready for the hood install. 2002 Kia Spectra hood before the install. Stevie did some very nice work with the Mega Block, rolling it on firm and tight and then following up with a nice protective barrier of foil tape around the edges. 40 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the front and rear floor applied with wooden roller. Next up is the Luxury Liner Pro mass loaded vinyl infused with closed cell foam. Stevie use the foil tape to tape up his seams perfectly. Installed properly with cut outs for the proper areas and the carpet will go right back in as if nothing was changed. Great looking install. One layer of our old silver Damplifier Pro, about 6 sqft on the trunk lid. A few years later, Stevie threw on 6 sqft of the new black on black Damplifier Pro that he won in giveaway on the SMD forum.

A customer in the NW of the country drove their brand new 2020 Kia Telluride to the great guys at Thunder Road Street Rods to have their vehicle fully soundproofed from head to toe. Kevin Jack says, "To use virtually every product on this 2020 Kia Telluride was a pleasure and the results are untouchable. The Telluride Installation was 63 hours labor start to finish, with 133 sqft Damplifier Pro, 63 sqft Luxury Liner Pro, 40 sqft Mega Zorbe, 36 sqft OverKill Pro, 7 gallons of Spectrum on the undercarriage. Outer wheel houses have Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro glued in place then 5 coats of Spectrum was sprayed over that. Underside of floor also has 5 heavy coats of Spectrum sprayed on after everything was cleaned and masked off. Floors, inner panels and roof were lined with Damplifier Pro. Roof, hatch, and doors got Mega Zorbe. All the plastic trim received Overkill Pro except door panels. Floor and inner wheelhouses were covered with Luxury Liner Pro. Inner quarters were covered with Overkill Pro 2020 Kia Telluride Wheel well before Spectrum liquid sound deadening. Wheel well after Spectrum liquid sound deadening.

This is Nate's second build with Second Skin products. This 2019 Kia Optima LX is optimized for Sound Quality. Let's start with the electrical - Nate went with a Brand X 300a alternator for his system. The thump from the trunk is provided by (2) SSA Icon 12's powered by a DC Audio 3500 AMP. And then up front he has a B2 Audio front and rear stage powered by a DC Audio 90.4 amplifier. After this off-season rebuild, Nate's ready to get back on the trail and see how well his newest build will perform in the lanes.
