GMC Yukon sound deadening

Ziggy's 2004 GMC Yukon

Ziggy skinned the entire Yukon with Damplifier Pro butyl vibration sheets. He ordered the 120 sqft box and the 20 sqft box to make sure he had enough. After skinning the floor with 55 sqft he tackled the roof where he used 45 sqft. The 4 doors used up about 6 sqft each and the back hatch took about 12 sqft. Afterwards, Ziggy stated that he could now have a cell phone conversation on speaker phone and the music inside of his ride sounded 5 times better with no additional upgrades done. 45 sqft of Damplifier PRo used on the roof. Driver door with 6-7 sqft of Damplifier Pro Passenger door skinned and ready to go. Driver side rear door all skinned and looking good. Passenger side rear door with that Second Skin treatment. All finished up with 12 sqft of Damplifier Pro on the back hatch...ready for reassembly.

GMC 3500 IRONSIDE Transformer Tribute Build Sound Deadening

Branden's Ironhide GMC 3500 Transformers Tribute Build

Branden went all out with this sweet replica build of the awesome character IRONHIDE from Transformers. This is a full frame off restoration currently still in progress. Branden of BW Customs and Automotive used 5 gallons of Spectrum to get four 1 mm coats on the floor, firewall, roof, and back wall of this GMC 3500. He used another two gallons of Spectrum on the doors to get three 1 mm layers on the inner and outer door skins. The body has been painted and returned back to the chassis and he's doing all the cool add-ons like Transformer emblems and lighting. Check out his build as it progresses on Branden's Instagram page. Branden's 3500 IRONSIDE build at its current stage. Like we said, this bad boy started off as a frame off restoration...bare bones!!! And here is the cab, all ready for that Second Skin love. Step 1 of prep for Spectrum: Clean, scrub, and vacum the dirt and debri from the application surfaces. All cleaned up and ready to fix some rust spots with primer. All scuffed up, primed, and ready for that Spectrum treatment. It is always best to tape off and wrap the project areas that you don't want the Spectrum on, here Branden used our Plastiwrap self adhesive plastic tarps. Looking real good, Spectrum sprayed on the floor, with four 1 mm caots to get the best of sound and heat insulation. The floor and back wall fully covered with Spectrum liquid sound deadening. Front doors getting the Spectrum sprayed on... Rear doors getting their Spectrum bath. First layers of Spectrum going on the roof. The roof after the fourth 1 mm layer of Spectrum, dead silent now!!! In the booth getting wet with some fresh new black paint. Newly painted doors looking real good. Cab is back on the chassis and this build is getting real BIG!!! So BIG....Getting a first start after reassembly. Branden's IRONSIDE playing peek a boo...he wants to come out and play!!!!

Denali HD Soundproofing Project

Luther's Denali HD

Luther from Houston Diesels came in and got a full nasty system that sounded amazing and looked freaking amazing! We wanted to bring in some elements of the truck to the subwoofer enclosure so we used stained wood to tie in the wood paneling on the OEM door panel. We went with- DB Drive subwoofers, SounDigital USA for bass amplifiers, Brax, Helix, Match by Audiotec Fischer for multichannel amplifier, digital sound processing and front mid bass drivers, BLAM for dash speakers and rear coaxials, Limitless Lithium for batteries in the rear, Stinger and Metra Electronics for all wiring and accessories, Second Skin Audio for sound dampening. The client was happy as usual and we're excited to have another vehicle out there on the streets with our name on it. Only at Sound Evolution. Luther pulled up into Sound Evolution in Texas for that A+ sound treatment. Back wall skinned with about 12 sq ft of that American made butyl. Damplifier Pro! Amps and processors on next. Nice looking under the seat subwoofer set up. Amazing looking wood work on the sub box and door panel mounts.

1967 GMC C10 sound deadening project

Mac's Garage GMC C10 Build

This 1967 GMC C10 came into Mac's garage with deadener that Mac says "smells like someone is getting a new roof inside the cab". We ran across this build pre-removal stage and suggested to Mac that he use dry ice and alcohol in a bag to remove the old stuff. Once that was accomplished, they reached out to us for some American made Damplifier Pro butyl sound deadening (about 36 sq ft). The truck floor is about 20 sqft and the back wall about 8 sqft. It took 18 sheets of Damplifier Pro to completely cover the floor and back wall. Follow Mac's Garage on Instagram to keep up with his journey building this beauty! Mac's Garage
