Rattle Pad is an acoustical foam composite laminated with a black urethane facing designed to absorb rattles between your cars upholstery trim and sheet metal frame.
The pressure it creates isolates the trim from the metal and reduces the air space, allowing each separate panel to function as one single, stronger panel, thus, preventing rattles and limiting the passage of unwanted sound in to the cabin of your car.
When placed on the back of your cars upholstery trim Rattle Pad not only eliminates annoying rattles and squeaks, but it also limits the transmission of unwanted sound waves in to the car, helping to create a more comfortable and luxurious ride.

Anything you place in front of the heat source will help reduce or slow down the heat. Rattle Pad will help reduce heat to a small degree but is not specifically designed to do so. Any heat reduction noticed from Rattle Pad is purely a side benefit, not an intended result.

Q. What is the difference between Rattle Pad and Damplifier?
A. This is probably our most common FAQ.
To fully understand the difference between the two products we need to understand the difference between these two problems; rattles, and vibrations:
-Vibrations occur on a single resonating panel
-Rattles occur when 2 panels resonate against each other
Damplifier is a vibration damper. It absorbs vibrations and is designed to reduce structure borne noise while Rattle Pad will do very little for vibrations, but will excel at isolating panels, thereby killing rattles.
