We have decided to move forward with our bed liner formula and are in the process of bringing in all the raw materials to produce it.
Unlike most single system bed liners out there, we are going to do more than just sell you a heavy gallon of paint.

In fact, while most DIY Bed liners only give you 1 gallon of material, our bed liner is going to come in 2 & 3 gallon pails, and will be priced very competitively.

Our bed liner is formulated unlike any other product on the market. Rather than using a 2 part poly urea system like most bed liner systems, we are offering a 1 part system that is made from an acrylic polymer fused with glass pigment our cryogenic polymers. This stuff is nearly as strong as the professional systems out there at less than half the cost.

In total there are 17 raw ingredients that go in to the formula and each has a very precise function.
We are bringing in all 17 of these product in house to start cranking out the product but this is going to take us some time though. We figure mid January before it is available on our site.

As you know, we at Second Skin are always trying to improve our products and our industry buy introducing new and exciting additives to our already impressive line of insulation products.
Well, to day, I believe we have outdone ourselves.
For the last few months we have been testing a new functional additive that is derived from cryogenically manipulated polymers.
Basically a combination of 3 compounds that are melted together, then frozen at 350 degrees below zero to remove impurities.

Next week we are making our first ever, batch of Second Skin Spectrum that will include this new exciting additive to our blend of Spectrum and Sludge.

Adhesion is improved
Damage resistance is improved
Shelf Life is improved
Appearance is improved

And best of all, this new polymer remains stable at a much greater range of temperatures.

Second Skin is the only coating company that is using this new additive in vibration dampers, once again , raising the bar for other companies to try an reach..

The new Spectrum will be available late next week.

A few months ago we added a new video feature to our website.
The idea is that each product will get its very own video screen that shows how to properly install each specific product. These videos will also be gathered on the home page in our installation and tips section. We also plan on adding install videos specific to certain vehicles and certain areas of different vehicles; doors, trunk, ceiling etc.

Some of your may recognize the name Buzz Thompson as the previous (and best) host of the Speed Channel show Truck “U”.

We commissioned Buzz host each of these 2 or 3 minutes videos for us. Him and the guys as www.floridaspl.com have done an awesome job for us in the past, so I am sure we can count on them to provide us with the quality video that our product and our customers deserve.
