Second Skin was applied to all door, ceiling, and rear hatch panels of our team's DB Drag Racing competition vehicle. We did not expect a huge increase in SPL levels inside the vehicle due to mediocre results achieved with other "mat type" materials from other manufacturers. We were in for a big surprise...
Application was a snap. We used a standard at roller only. No heating or extra adhesives were needed for the application of this product. In all of my experiences with "normal" sound deadening materials Second Skin had the best adhesive I have seen. Our vehicle resides in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada, and we have yet to experience any peeling or "falling off" from this product.
We were astonished to see over a 2db gain in SPL from the use of Second Skin in our vehicle. We are VERY happy with the service, support, and products we have received from Second Skin Audio.
